Hi, I’m Kim – founder of Colour Me Bronze Professional.

I started spray tanning over 13 years ago, initially for friends and family before taking on my first paying client about six months later. At the time, I was working full-time as an Executive Assistant and tanning in the evenings. In 2012, I officially launched my spray tanning business, and by 2015 I made the leap into spray tanning full time.

That same year, I began developing my own spray tan solution range – born from a desire to achieve better, more reliable results than what I had been using from other brands. My clients played a key role in the development process, testing each formulation and offering detailed feedback on everything from colour and wear-off to scent and skin feel. I didn’t proceed with production until they were completely happy.

When I introduced my Colour Me Bronze Professional solutions into my business in late 2015, the results were immediate. My clients noticed the difference, my bookings skyrocketed, and I quickly outgrew my home setup. I expanded into a multi-room commercial salon and built a multi six-figure business.

The result? A professional solution range made by a spray tanner, tested by real clients, and created with purpose, experience, and integrity. Every bottle represents thousands of spray tans and the knowledge gained from years of hands-on work in the industry.

My Experience…

With over 15 years of experience and more than 50,000 spray tans completed, I bring practical industry knowledge to every course I teach.

Back in 2013, I began mixing solutions from different brands to better suit my clients’ undertones – long before custom blending was commonly talked about. That led to the creation of a fully mixable solution range designed specifically for advanced colour matching and TANtailing™.

I developed a custom system that considers far more than just skin tone. Factors such as event type, outfit colour, lighting conditions, and the client’s natural hair and eye colour are all part of my personalised approach to selecting the perfect tan colour.

While this training won’t cover spray tanning technique (that’s included in our Standard Spray Tanning Course), it will teach you how to work confidently with the Colour Me Bronze Professional solution range, customise results for each client, and get the most from our TANtailing™ method.

 

I Do Body Building Tans Too…

In addition to everyday tanning services, I specialise in bodybuilding competition tanning and have worked backstage at most NSW ICN and ANB events, as well as at competitions interstate and internationally – including in Bali, Phuket, and Italy.

These high-pressure environments require a deep understanding of stage lighting, product layering, and prep protocols. While I bring this knowledge into all areas of my work, it’s important to note that Colour Me Bronze Professional solutions are not formulated for stage use.

For bodybuilding tans, I exclusively use Black Magic’s Muscle Tan and Bikini Tan – products specifically designed for deep, stage-ready colour.
